The Original Republicans' Blog

It all began with people who opposed slavery—driven by the belief that no one has the right to oppress another. These early abolitionists united against human bondage and government tyranny, and from that conviction, the Republican Party was born.

Tragically, the party has since strayed far from those principles, becoming a demagogic cult fueled by racial hate, replacement myths, fear-mongering, and supremacy.

 We aim to change that.

The People’s Party

“It all started with people who opposed slavery. They were common, everyday people who bristled at the notion that men had any right to oppress their fellow man. In the early 1850’s, these anti-slavery activists found commonality with rugged individuals looking to settle in western lands, free of government charges. “Free soil, free labor, free speech, free men,” went the slogan. And it was thus in joint opposition to human enslavement and government tyranny that an enterprising people gave birth to the Republican Party.”

While President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, declaring enslaved people in rebellious states free, Frederick Douglass, a prominent abolitionist, played a crucial role in advocating for and influencing Lincoln's actions, pushing for the war to become a fight for freedom.

The First African American  Senators and Representatives were Republican."

"First Colored Senator and Representatives in the 41st and 42nd Congress of the United States." Senator Hiram Revels of Mississippi, Representatives Benjamin Turner of Alabama, Robert DeLarge of South Carolina, Josiah Walls of Florida, Jefferson Long of Georgia, Joseph Rainey and Robert B. Elliot of South Carolina."

Dr. José Celso Barbosa,  "the first Puerto Rican student to enroll at U-M, Barbosa learned more than the medicine that made him an influential physician. He saw a democratic political system that inspired him to found the Republican Party of Puerto Rico in 1899; he is known as the father of the statehood movement for Puerto Rico."

“The Republican Party also played a leading role in securing women the right to vote. In 1896, the Republican Party was the first major political party to support women’s suffrage. When the 19th Amendment finally was added to the Constitution, 26 of 36 state legislatures that had voted to ratify it were under Republican control. The first woman elected to Congress was a Republican, Jeanette Rankin from Montana in 1917. So it was by hardworking Republican hands that color and gender barriers were first demolished in America.”

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, had advised us :

"I'm not here to tell you how to vote," he said. "That isn't my concern. I'm not a politician. I have no political ambitions. I don't think the Republican party is a party full of the almighty God nor is the Democratic party. They both have weaknesses. And I'm not inextricably bound to either party. I'm not concerned about telling you what party to vote for. But what I'm saying is this, that we must gain the ballot and use it wisely."

Malcolm X, on political parties:

“Any time you throw your weight behind a political party that controls two thirds of the government and that party can’t keep the promise that it made to you during election time and you’re dumb enough to walk around continuing to identify yourself with that party, you’re not only a chump but you’re a traitor...”

No More Robo Voting - Swing Vote

"It's hard to try to divorce people from their politics.". Nevertheless, this election go into the booth unprogrammed.  Stop allowing yourselves to be assumed. Let them know that if they are not loyal to you, and not representing you zealously in your behalf, then you will stop blindly vote straight slate in their behalf. The end.

Go ahead show'em, no one looking "Secrecy of the ballot".

(BTW (BY THE WAY) What a few do not know (for the record) is that just because you are enrolled as one party ,  during the General election come this November, that you are allowed to "vote across party line" for the other party's candidate if you like him or her better. Example an enrolled Democrat voter can vote for a different party's candidate in the general election (Democrat voter vote for an independent or Republican candidate; "Swing Voting").

MANUAL WILLIAMS FOR OFFICE 2025

Serving The Community.

(NOTE: BELOW CLICK ON ALL UNDERLINED WORDS FOR MORE INFO (ACTIVE WEBSITE LINKS)

As a candidate running for New York City Council in District 7, I am committed to bringing practical, impactful solutions to the pressing issues facing our community. Below are my proposals, backed by real action and strategic investments, designed to address the economic, housing, and land use challenges we face.

Economic Crisis

I propose that at least half of the miscellaneous allocations in the City’s $112.4 billion budget (see CSSNY Analysis) be directed toward expanding youth employment programs. This would have a multifaceted impact:

  • Job Creation & Economic Stimulation: By creating employment opportunities for young people, we generate a boost in local economic activity. Youth employment programs not only engage young people in productive work but also increase the flow of money within local communities.
  • Support for Families: These programs can provide financial relief to heads of households, many of whom are struggling to make ends meet. The added income will help stabilize families and reduce poverty levels.  I will ensure these Youth programs will not penalize and disqualify house hold who receive subsidies. I will propose provisions similar to " Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program" that allows others to still receive with modest income increases.
  • Engagement & Prevention: As it is said, "Idle time is the playground for the devil." By keeping our youth engaged in work and skill-building, we reduce the risk of them falling into negative behaviors, ensuring that they stay on a positive path and contribute to the community in meaningful ways.

I will fight for our youth, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities they need to succeed both personally and professionally.

Housing Crisis

The current housing crisis in New York City is undeniable. With a vacancy rate at a historic low of 1.4%, finding affordable housing is more difficult than ever. We must take immediate, bold actions to address this crisis and ensure everyone has access to safe, affordable housing.

  • Build Higher, Build Smarter: I propose that we build taller, more efficient housing units in areas with high demand. By increasing the density of housing in key areas, we can expand the supply and bring relief to the housing shortage. However, we must be mindful of maintaining affordability and creating sustainable, eco-friendly developments.
  • Incentivizing Affordable Housing: I will advocate for policies that incentivize developers to include affordable housing in their plans. This can be done through tax incentives, zoning adjustments, and by prioritizing the creation of affordable units in new housing projects.

We must prioritize affordable housing in District 7 while ensuring that our neighborhoods remain diverse, welcoming, and economically sustainable.

Land Use

  1. District 7 has been grappling with a non-physical combatant housing crisis for decades. Affordable housing is critical, but we also need campus housing to accommodate the growing student population, especially given the influx of students to the neighborhood. We must work with local universities and colleges to expand campus housing options to alleviate pressure on the local rental market and ensure students have affordable places to live.

  2. The waterfront area at the end of 125th Street presents a significant opportunity to boost our local economy. By opening up this area for recreational and tourism development, we could revitalize this waterfront and create jobs in hospitality, entertainment, and tourism. Nearby restaurants and small businesses would thrive with the increased foot traffic, creating a bustling, vibrant area for both locals and tourists to enjoy. This would be a win for both the economy and the community.

  3. The stretch of Amsterdam Avenue between CUNY and Columbia University holds the potential to become a Harlem Silicon Valley. I propose creating a network of incubators and innovation hubs that foster the growth of startups, tech companies, and local entrepreneurs. By attracting manufacturers and industries identified by the Department of Labor as in-demand and forecast to grow, we can create good-paying, long-term jobs in the community. This initiative would provide vital job opportunities, encourage entrepreneurship, and position Harlem as a key player in New York City's growing tech and innovation sectors.

Local Law 18 Protection: A Commitment to Tenants and Long-Term Residents

See: https://www.amny.com/news/tenants-debate-nyc-bill-short-term-rental-airbnb

In light of the severe housing crisis we face, I firmly believe in the importance of protecting Local Law 18, which was enacted to regulate short-term rentals and protect our communities from the negative impacts of unregulated tourism. As we look at potential changes, such as Intro 1107, I will stand firm in opposing any attempts to weaken Local Law 18.

While tourism can provide economic benefits, the risks of allowing illegal short-term rentals (or any) to proliferate far outweigh those benefits. If left unchecked, these illegal rentals allow private equity firms to flood the market, further driving up costs and making homeownership even harder for working families. Weakening Local Law 18 would jeopardize housing stability and ultimately undermine the efforts to keep District 7 a place for long-term residents.

I am committed to ensuring that Local Law 18 remains a strong safeguard for tenants and homeowners. As your representative, I will be a watchdog, ensuring that this important regulation remains intact to protect the integrity and affordability of our housing market.

Additional Endeavors

  • Youth Empowerment through Education & Job Training: In addition to youth employment programs, we must provide access to job training and educational initiatives to ensure young people are ready for the evolving job market. I propose partnerships with local community colleges and vocational schools to create a pipeline of skilled workers who are prepared to meet the demands of growing industries.

  • Green Housing & Sustainability: As we build new housing, I will advocate for incorporating green building techniques that reduce energy consumption and carbon footprints. Sustainable, eco-friendly housing will not only benefit the environment but also reduce long-term living costs for tenants, making housing even more affordable.

  • Public-Private Partnerships for Housing & Infrastructure: I will work to foster partnerships between private developers and the City to create a mix of market-rate and affordable housing, ensuring that our development projects benefit all residents. We must also invest in improving infrastructure, including public transportation, utilities, and green spaces, to enhance the overall quality of life in District 7.

By focusing on these key areas — economic empowerment, affordable housing, and land use — I am committed to making District 7 a place where every resident can thrive. Together, we will tackle these challenges and create lasting, positive change for our community. Vote for Jomo Manual Williams, for NYC City Council District 7, where the future of our community comes first.

The 7th District (& NYC) are facing unique challenges:

  1. Affordable housing crisis due to Columbia University’s misleading EIS statements and ill-planned expansion, which are the main engine (impetus) powering the aggressive displacements of tenants.
  2. Immigration and deportation issues, including discrimination, corruptions,  and securing our borders in an equitable, humane , & fair manner).
  3. Employment shortages and opportunities (Propose Universal Income (Right to work - Adopt U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 23); finding work should never have to be a treasure hunt for the willing and able).
  4. Mass employment terminations resulting from new anti-DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies.
  5. Disproportionate incarceration rates.
  6. Rising taxes on income, property, and living expenses.
  7. Ineffective political representation that fails to protect voter interests.
  8. Judicial biases that deny fair access to justice.
  9. Political division (i) driven by major parties and governmental demagoguery,  (iI) Lack of Transparency, and  accountability  to control election  corruption  and weaponization of the judicial branch  against independent candidates, or Major party candidates who express political concepts not wanted by the political established machine leaders.
  10.  Inadequate mental health and substance abuse support.
  11. Barriers to accessing funds for entrepreneurial endeavors.
  12. High youth unemployment rates.
  13. Insufficient availability of senior centers.
  14. Insufficient social services funding amidst rising needs.
  15. The potential misuse of military force against civilian populations.
  16. Direct and reverse discrimination.
  17. Blatantly Discriminative Reparations and related issues.
  18. Selective enforcement,  prosecutions, and/or convictions based on race, color, ethnicity, or nationality of victims or defendants (e.g.: Zimmerman Case )
  19. A comprehensive Residential, Neighborhood, and City-Wide Municipal Parking Plan.
  20. Political & Election integrity - Proposing that New Yorker gain greater power & access rights to the ballot through (i)  initiatives and referendums; (ii) Democracy Dollars  .
  21.   "Civil Gideon" right to counsel - NYC citizens should be afforded the right to counsel in all Civil Court proceedings. This proposal could be implemented by: (a) Holding a meritorious hearing with counsel assigned, and (b) Any final settlement or award to clients will contribute a 35% contingency fee to the Civil Gideon budget pool.
  22. Gender and orientation issues (see bottom note #1 disclaimer):

We support

  • Same-sex sports competition rules (e.g., banning biologically born males from female sports, and vice versa (born Males compete with Born males, vice versa Born Physical Females against Born Physical Females); and for the creation of  separate sports leagues for Trans sexual individuals to compete in).
  •  Parents should have the absolute right to be informed and to approve or deny their child’s participation in school curricula regarding & related to homosexuality, with the exception of anti-bullying and anti-abuse campaigns that apply to all races, religions, and sexual orientations.
  • Families and communities are expressing concerns that the denial of this right encroaches & infringes upon:
    (a) Parental rights,
    (b) Religious freedoms and beliefs, as well as precise prohibitions against particular overreach, promulgations, and promotions by government ; and
    (c) Their disapproval of what they view and perceive as inappropriate teachings and training ( some objectors refer to it as "Grooming") regarding sexual practices that they do not wish to have exposed or subjected to their children in school settings. Families and communities are srtongly & loudly objecting that those said teachings should instead be very immensely censored and banned, not included in the curriculum.
  • A Child Adoption Law that mandates for a diverse board of social workers, which includes both binary & non binary individuals who reflect the race and ethnicity of the child to fully evaluate, analyze, and consult regarding the child's best interests, protection, and sexual orientation preferences, before placing the child in either a heterosexual or homosexual household setting. In cases where a child is too young to be evaluated and analyzed thoroughly, a default placement in a heterosexual household will be considered (as outlined in various references, such as: https://www.naswnyc.org/page/Latinx  ;   https://www.nabsw.org ;  https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36059766  ;   https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27620690   ; and directly below).
  • Children under the age of majority (about the same as the legal drinking, military enlistment age, or unconsensual rape law age) shall not be allowed to make permanent, irreversible decisions regarding gender changes or hormone treatments, even with or without parental consent.
  • Strict protections and enforcement for hate crimes  committed against the LGBTQ+, community , as well as vice versa protections to control & cease hate violations and the culture of condoning criminality against heterosexuals (e.g., gender bashing, rape by deception, unconsensual rape, sexual intimacy by fraud, sexual intercourse by way of false impersonation (bottom Note # 1).
  • All public restrooms and facilities must prevent any & all situations where men with male anatomy are allowed in the Girl’s bathrooms, especially  exposing & displaying same male parts in bathrooms used by young girls.
  • see disclaimer below in bottom note #1

23.  EZ Pass Needs Overhaul (Debt Amnesty) ; Prevent Foreign Authority Over U.S. Citizens

  • Our U.S. and local governments, courts, DMVs, and MTA are allowing, permitting, and granting authority to foreign entities to suspend, repossess, arrest, and engage in double-dipping actions against American and NYC local citizens' liberties, licenses, registrations, finances, etc. This is happening despite the fact that our citizens may have never set foot in China or signed any agreement with EZ Pass.
  • Before the involvement of China in the EZ Pass system, it was already abusive. Many of EZ Pass' adverse actions occur without affording our citizens proper due process or a hearing to dispute these actions. Currently, many citizens are facing registration suspensions, license suspensions, and are unable to renew their registrations or risk arrest—all because of the abusive and corrupt nature of the EZ Pass system. Many of these citizens have never had toll-related issues until the forced introduction of the EZ Pass system.
  •  I propose amnesty for all existing EZ Pass debt, pardons for all suspensions caused by EZ Pass, reparations for wrongful repossessions initiated by EZ Pass without hearings, full compensation for all individuals wrongfully arrested due to EZ Pass, and the implementation of at least one mandatory cash-pay lane at all EZ Pass toll locations.
  •  I further propose that the MTA, DMV, and Courts ensure our citizens have access to a quick and easy forum to file and fully express all their claims and disputes against EZ Pass, with a resolution disposition no later than two weeks (or find EZ Pass in default).

24. Diverse, Equal, and Inclusive Race and Ethnicity School Curriculum (oppose to "Binge Teaching")

  • Since the creation of our public school system, its curriculum has been imbalanced, one-sided (biased), and not fully inclusive, often neglecting the full representation of all Americans’ history and struggles. If we claim to be a society striving for honesty and harmony, then truths should not be hidden or buried. The difficulties we face in confronting dark, stark truths should not compel us to stick our heads in the sand like ostriches, hindering our ability to tackle past mistakes collectively and prevent inhumanities from recurring.
  •  In all my years in Pre-K, elementary, junior high, and high school, neither I nor my fellow students were ever offered even one day of teaching about a minority race figure in any shape, form, or fashion. Instead, we just binge-watched studies on one group for approximately 14 years straight.
  • We should equally and simultaneously highlight and teach everyone’s American contributions and struggles, not just one group’s. We must seek and teach commonalities, and more importantly, the art of diplomacy, resolution, and respect for one another. As Abraham Lincoln said, "A house divided against itself cannot stand."
  • Passively teaching supremacy in public schools through omission only fosters division. Indoctrinating a sense of supremacy and inferiority is harmful. This conditioning, based solely on color, promotes a perception of entitlement and deprivation. With this sense of entitlement or deprivation comes the urge to fight for privileges or rights that are unfairly derived from biased or unbalanced school teachings.
  • " "I have never seen in my lifetime, yet dogs bicker and fight solely based on the different colors of their fur. Thus, due to our power of will and ability to process such distinctions, humans—the supposedly smarter species—seem and act  less intelligent than dogs." — Quote: Jomo Williams  (see below case studies cites)
  • Van Rooy, D., Wade, C.M. Association between coat color and the behavior of Australian Labrador retrievers. Canine Genet Epidemiol 6, 10 (2019). https://doi.org/10.1186/s40575-019-0078-z

  • "Hypothetical: Assume, arguendo, that supremacists achieve their aim—exterminating all who are unlike them. Do you think their hatred will stop there? Of course not. They will simply find another unjust, ignorant differentiation (a witch hunt) to fuel their hate because it’s in their nature. For example, they might target differences like black hair vs. orange or blonde hair, brown eyes vs. blue or green eyes, or some other arbitrary distinction." (Quote Jomo Williams)

And many more adversities currently facing our district and others.

At this critical juncture, we do not need continued bickering and ego-driven conflict among political parties and their representatives. Instead, we need practical solutions and resolutions. We cannot afford to keep re-electing the same ineffective candidates who have already proven their inability to address the district’s needs. It’s time to elect a candidate committed to real change—a candidate who seeks unity, not divisive politics.

ABOUT CANDIDATE WILLIAMS'

PAST & PRESENT

Your candidate's roots has been a dedicated member of this community since 1975, working tirelessly to make it a better place. Over the decades, Candidate Williams has owned storefront businesses (In Harlem, et.al.) and formed strong affiliations within Harlem. He is an honorable disabled Army veteran, coming from a multi-generational family with no fewer than five generations of U.S. military veterans. Additionally, he is a former wrongly incarcerated individual, a certified paralegal who has worked with several firms (on 125 st.) and prison institutions law libraries aiding prisoners on their cases. He's an alumnus of John Jay College of Criminal Justice; and he holds multiple certifications in the technology field.

Candidate Williams has successfully campaigned for significant legislative changes, including:

  • NYC’s Tenant Right to Counsel in Housing Court (His political concept adopted by his political opponent who stole office).
  • Mandate that landlords be compelled to install Natural Gas detectors in NYC tenants' Households ( he petitioned the courts for years for the government to adopt this measure and more  stringent  safety measures).
  • Ensuring prisoners are counted as residents in the census based on their community of origin, not where they are incarcerated.
  • Securing prisoners' access to network communications to address mail obstructions and human rights abuses.

Most recently, Candidate Williams has proposed:

(a) A system and method for "Contactless Police Auto Stops" designed to drastically reduce unarmed shooting incidents, and
(b) A comprehensive and concise "Anti-Unlawful Gentrification" law. (See bottom Note #2 of this section)

Candidate Williams has run for office in the past:

  • For the NYC 7th District City Council office:
Once as an independent candidate, where his political opponents resorted to election corruption and weaponized the Judicial branch to defeat his campaign by unlawfully taking him off the ballot, framed and charge him to distract his political campaign, then used court proceedings so that he could not appear in different court to challenge that corrupt ballot removal;  and
Another election year later under the BLM Political Party, where political leaders and election officials:
    (i) Denied him the ability to inspect poll stations like other candidates,
    (ii) Engaged in ballot stuffing,
(iii) Allowed conflicting political independent party names to stand, confusing and diluting the vote,
(iv) Permitted a favored major party candidate to unlawfully promote his campaign just feet away from polling stations, while threatening Candidate Williams with police arrest simply for requesting to inspect the polling stations in accordance with election laws.

  • For a Federal office while unlawfully and inhumanely placed in solitary confinement, where he used his campaign as a platform to highlight issues such as census laws and more (mentioned above). His proposals for census were adopted by both Congress and the census agency; as well as his proposal that a department of governmental "efficiency" be created due to all the government waste he was observing  (this title "efficiency " &  concept was adopted by the Obama admin., and carried out by all presidents thereafter in there own way).

  •  Once a Prisoner Grievance Representative, he played a key role in negotiating a collective ceasefire truce. Following this, he was elected to office by various diverse groups, to address the many decades of brutal lonterm abuses of authorities by  NYSDOC statewide practices, along with the Judicial branch complicity, condoning, and tacit approvals of same inhumanities.
  •  However, his decision to remain true to his constituency—refusing to become a Manchurian,  puppet representative (comprador) or  quinta columna  (sell out their interests)—ultimately led to his unlawful & prolonged  solitary confinement, as punishment (where he was routinely subjected to constant various official wrongful  assaults ; food/water adulterations;  waterboardings; mail obstrions;  Unethical official research & tortures ; had to go on  30 day hunger strike; (etc. see Bottom Note 3) that was all tacitly approved by the judicial branch as a means of silencing him as they deemed him as a "power glitch".
  • He also was elected Head on the Developing Harlem Edgecombe Nieghborhood Association, where he allowed the association to holds its meeting within his store front located then at 317 West 141 street, Harlem. The association aimed to protest the  official injustices and deprivations that its community was then facing.  In response his store was constantly raided by officials,  the  Chief of Police placed him on the NYPD Comstat surviellance system (equivalent to cointelpro) and then framed him in various  matters  (from a first of it kind Hate official charge, to an unbelievable bizzrd conjured up alledged  courthouse invasion that supposely took evidence planted to frame him for life) all  to unlawfully send him away .

Bottom Note # 3:

For over a decade, the NYSDOC, DOD, A.M.C., and associated entities conducted harmful experiments and clinical studies on prisoners without their consent or knowledge (A Modern day Tuskegee Project). These unethical governmental organizations exposed their subjects to toxic chemicals, bacteria, and viruses. Some of their practices included:

  1. Placing prisoners in isolation cells for extended periods (3-5 years), in cells typically designed for stays of no more than 2 weeks.
  2. Contaminating prisoners' only source of water supply.
  3. Tampering with their food supply through the "Door Serve slot" (referred to as "Target Trays").
  4. Fumigating individual air ventilation systems.

These long-term illegal tampering and adulteration practices caused a range of physical ailments, including:

  • Intense stomach discomfort and ailments.
  • Painful mouth abscesses affecting the teeth and gums.
  • Throat (pharynx and larynx) and esophagus deformities, leading to pain, itching, and swallowing disorders.
  • Development of nasal sores due to exposure to foul odors.

Other unethical methods used by this consortium to subject prisoners to these unlawful experiments included:

  1. Deceiving prisoners by manipulating their trust, such as telling them to wear contaminated brown suede gloves during an MRI procedure under the pretense of "protecting the groin area."
  2. Punishing and torturing prisoners who declined various needle injections.
  3. et. al.

Prisoners who were eventually released into society were often diagnosed with debilitating side effects from these unethical medical aparthied experiments, such as Acinetobacter infections, dysphagia (swallowing complications), and severe dental issues. When prisoners pointed out the harsh conditions in prison as a potential source of their medical issues during inquiries from outside doctors, the doctors' responses were chilling: "Not surprised" and "Why do you think they call it the 'PEN'?"

Acinetobacter lwoffii may lead to catheter-associated urinary tract infection. Community-acquired infections are rare.

Transmission mainly occurs via contaminated water and food respectively.

providers throughout upstate New York—and the state department of corrections—for more than 12 YRS...

Karsten R.O. Hazlett, PhD, assistant professor in the Center for Immunology and Microbial Disease, has received a $3.1 million, 5-and-a-half-year grant from the U.S. Department of Defense in support of his research, which is focused on the influence of growth conditions on bacterial composition. Specifically, he will study the biological differences between naturally occurring and lab-grown Francisella tularensis (the bacterium that causes tularemia), as well as Acinetobacter baumanii, an emerging antibiotic-resistant bacterium capable of causing deadly infections. “Bacteria grown under laboratory conditions and the very same type of bacteria that grow in the water or soil can have a very different chemical makeup,” says Hazlett. “We refer to this as the bacteria’s signature.” Hazlett explains that bacteria can alter its form in response to such environmental cues as temperature and stress, or when exposed to different organisms. Hazlett says tularemia is of interest because the disease can be cultivated in a lab and weaponized, and in fact, was done so by both the U.S. and the former Soviet Union during the Cold War. The other bacteria he will study, Acinetobacter baumanii, was responsible for serious wound infections among injured soldiers in Iraq. Dr. Hazlett says the bacteria is highly resistant to antibiotics, and has also begun to increase in occurrence in hospital settings around the nation.

This small, but strong, team has been organizing clinical education in ... medicine, not only at Albany Med, but to providers throughout upstate New York—and the state department of corrections—for more than 12 years.

  Bottom Note #4: Flip-Flopping & Plagiarizing Political Concepts  -
Many of my points and political concepts mentioned above may be ones you’ve never heard expressed by my political opponents. However, as has often happened in the past, my ideas will eventually be adopted—and some opponents may go so far as to plagiarize or flip-flop to align with them. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

SWING VOTE

(beat & vocals by maumaumusic)

A swing voter is someone who hasn't yet decided how they'll cast their ballot in an upcoming election.

A swing voter or floating voter is a voter who may not be affiliated with a particular political party (Independent) or

who will vote across party lines. In American politics, many centrists, liberal Republicans, and conservative Democrats are considered "swing voters" since their voting patterns cannot be predicted as easily as voters in 'safe seat'
